This vibrant and "contemporary" white blend originates from Australia, specifically from the premier Barossa Valley in South Australia. Historically, Barossa vignerons referred to their vineyards as "gardens," a tradition Langmeil honors with this Southern Rhône-style blend of Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne (VMR). The winery's philosophy for the Three Gardens series is to create harmonious, balanced wines that capture the intensity of the warm Barossa climate while maintaining a refreshing energy.
Wine Description
Langmeil Three Gardens VMR 2024 presents a pale gold color with a sparkling clarity. The sensory profile is aromatic and "inviting," featuring a nose of apricot, jasmine, and almond, layered with sophisticated notes of fresh lime and custard tart. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and "waxy," showcasing a rich, silky texture derived from five months of maturation on the lees. It is characterized by soft acidity and flavors of peach, ripe pear, and light spices, leading to a round, floral finish with a hint of mineral tension. This blend typically reaches an ABV of 13.5%.
