This whiskey is a special edition created to honor Frank Sinatra, one of Jack Daniel's most famous fans. It is aged in unique “Sinatra Barrels,” which have deep grooves carved into the inside. These grooves allow more contact between the oak and the whiskey, giving it a richer, more oak-driven flavor. It is bottled at a higher strength of 90 proof (45% ABV) than the standard Old No. 7.
The 1-liter bottle is larger than standard 700ml or 750ml bottles making it a fine pick for gifting or display. As a true Tennessee Whiskey, it follows the Lincoln County Process, which involves charcoal filtering before aging, contributing to its smooth character. On the nose, it offers aromas of toasted oak, vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, and a hint of smoke.
The taste is bold, smooth, and full-bodied, with notes of caramel, spices, and charred oak, while the finish is exceptionally long, leaving lingering hints of vanilla, toasty oak, and gentle spice. Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or “Sinatra-style” with three ice cubes and a splash of water, this premium expression of Jack Daniel’s is a collector’s delight.
