This is Torani's Almond Syrup. The bottle has reverted to the 'Almond' name but is still the same 'Orgeat' flavour.
In case you're wondering (we were) - it's pronounced OHR-ZHAT. Torani Orgeat Syrup is one of Torani's original flavours. It is an old English word related to the Italian 'orzata', meaning almond. Orgeat is actually a flavour comprised of Almonds, Rose Water, Orange Flower Water and Sugar. Not what you'd typically expect from an Almond syrup, which is what makes it surprisingly unique and delicious.
Decades of experience create the distinct aroma and sweet nutty flavour of 'Ye Olde Orgeat'. It's perhaps most famously known as a key ingredient in a Mai Tai. This syrup can also be used as an almond extract substitute.
IngredientsPure Cane Sugar, Water, Natural Flavours, Fractioned Coconut Oil, Ester Gum, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate (to preserve freshness), Potassium Sorbate (to preserve freshness).
Guess what? We have a low carb (sugar free) version - the Torani Sugar Free Almond flavour. Could this be more confusing? We don't think so.
