Brown Sugar Boba is Bazan's refusal to make a milk-tea reference at the cost of the coffee.
From Gia Lai at 650 to 800 meters, this Robusta is dried whole in cherry, the method that pushes sweetness furthest before any roasting begins. It borrows a familiar drink for its shape, but the profile is assembled in processing and roast rather than poured in afterwards.
The intent is precise: brown sugar syrup and milk chocolate leading, a black-tea structure underneath, toasted almond closing the finish.
Ripe cherries are sorted and dried whole in thin layers, turned often to keep the fruit from trapping heat, then taken to a medium dark roast that keeps enough definition for the tea note to stay visible under milk and ice.
For Bazan, Too Strong is the belief that a trend-shaped cup should still be coffee-first when the ice melts.
