Tenuta Luce Lux Vitis 2021 is an extraordinarily rich, powerful, and deeply complex red wine produced in Montalcino by Tenuta Luce. Crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with a small touch of Sangiovese, it undergoes aging in new French oak barrels for 24 months. In the glass, it displays a dense, opaque ruby-purple color. The nose opens with intense aromas of ripe cassis, black cherry, dried violets, and espresso bean, underpinned by notes of dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, and exotic spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, opulent, and impeccably structured, offering layers of dark berry fruit framed by firm, velvety tannins and lively acidity that ensures exceptional aging potential through a long, luxurious finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs brilliantly with Florentine bistecca, braised beef short ribs, venison tenderloin, roasted rack of lamb, and aged Parmigiano-Reggiano or Pecorino cheese.
95 Points - James Suckling
A complex and restrained wine. The nose shows an elegant mix of leafy notes, cloves and subtle cassis, with graphite and licorice depth. Balanced attack with juicy acidity, firm ripe tannins and a full body. Great integration and length. Drink or hold.
