Privada Storytelling
The Tatuaje Reserva Broadleaf isn’t just a cigar—it’s a cult relic. This is Pete Johnson and the Garcia family at their absolute best, working with a notoriously difficult leaf and turning it into a benchmark for boutique maduro excellence. Originally released in highly limited quantities, the Reserva Broadleaf became legend almost overnight. Its thick, rugged wrapper delivers a flavor profile that’s rich, earthy, and unapologetically bold, yet somehow still elegant. This cigar feels like it was made for nightfall. Like leather jackets, vinyl records, and secrets shared under low light. For Privada, this is the Broadleaf that helped define an era.
Flavor Journey
-
First third: Kicks off with earth, dark chocolate, and black pepper. Espresso bitterness and sweet wood begin to develop early.
-
Mid-smoke: A creamy leather texture forms around notes of toasted almond, molasses, and smoky cedar. Retrohale brings a warming spice.
-
Final third: Intensifies with espresso and charred oak. The finish is rich and mouth-coating, blending pepper, cocoa, and a savory umami edge.
Why It Belongs in Privada
The Reserva Broadleaf is a rite of passage. It’s not mass-produced. It’s not easy to find. And it doesn’t try to please everyone. That’s exactly why it belongs here. Privada exists for cigars like this—those that combine rarity, craftsmanship, and unmistakable character. It’s a cigar you wait for, chase down, and never forget. And when you smoke it, you’re not just enjoying a cigar. You’re joining a lineage of collectors and connoisseurs who know exactly what this moment means.
