Nicholas Melillo exploded onto the scene with his Foundation Cigar Company to become one of the cigar world’s most respected and innovative tobacco gurus. Highlighting the finest leaves from his home state of Connecticut, Melillo’s creations offer cigar lovers a deliciously gratifying range of rich and savory smokes, including the 90-rated Tabernacle Broadleaf Torpedo.
With the sanctuary said to have housed the Ark of the Covenant before it was placed in Solomon’s Temple serving as inspiration, the 4 ½” x 52 Tabernacle Broadleaf Torpedo showcases a luxurious Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a Melillo specialty. The wrapper is paired with a Mexican San Andres binder leaf and a hearty yet balanced blend of Nicaraguan Esteli and Honduran Jamastran filler leaves.
The Tabernacle Broadleaf Torpedo is a medium-to-full-bodied extravaganza that grabs your attention right out of the gate and never lets go. The flavor profile is constructed around a tasty core of chocolate, wood, and coffee flavors. Hints of caramel and spice titillate the senses as thick leathery and peppery undertones bring it home for a grand finish.
Whether you are searching for a savory Maduro-wrapped cigar or simply want the best example of top-tier Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers, the Tabernacle Broadleaf Torpedo is a winning choice that will keep your tastebuds entertained from start to luxurious finish.
