An accessible and charming introduction to the prestigious world of Château Quintus. The 2021 St Émilion de Quintus captures the elegance of the estate’s limestone terroir in a fresh, Merlot-forward style designed for earlier enjoyment. Crafted by the legendary team behind Château Haut-Brion, this wine offers Right Bank pedigree without the wait.
The Vintage: A Return to Classic Elegance
The 2021 vintage in Bordeaux marked a departure from the "solar" vintages of previous years, offering a return to a classic, fresh, and refined style. After a mild winter and a challenging spring, a warm and sunny September saved the harvest, allowing the grapes to reach optimal maturity while retaining vibrant acidity.
For St Émilion de Quintus, this translates into a wine that prioritizes finesse over power. It is a "restaurant-ready" vintage that shines with bright fruit and lower alcohol, making it an incredibly versatile partner for food.
