We recommend this clean be done every 1000-5000 Roasts
There is a big variable because it does depend on the coffee and how you roast.
If you are roasting very light, say 5-10% development you may be able to roast 2500-5000 batches before its required.
If you are roasting darker coffee, say 10-30% then you will be in the 1000-2500 range.
If you are doing this maintenance yourself, the best practice is to do this regularly, so oil and fat don’t get a chance to build up, making it harder to clean the impellers properly. The process includes two areas: ventilation exit in the back and from the top of the roaster.
This service charge listed here is targeted towards professionals or green importers who may not have the time or want to learn, so we offer this very express service with a 2-5 day turnaround time.
We can do it with speed because we already have previous parts cleaned and ready and we simply do a full swap over of the internals. This way we don't have to wait 24 hours for parts to soak and get scrubbed, we can simply swap and go.
The Following parts are hot swapped
- Cyclone Assembly
- Brushless motors x 2
- Impeller x 2
- Cyclone Intake plate
- Fan housing
- Motor discs
- Internal hoses
