Roagna Barbaresco Montefico Vecchie Viti 2020 is produced from old Nebbiolo vines within Roagna's historic Montefico parcel. The southeast-facing vineyard sits at 230 metres, with calcareous clay soils rich in marl. This limited-production wine represents a focused expression of the estate's longstanding Montefico site.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with braised beef, roasted lamb, porcini risotto, and aged hard cheeses.
96 Points - James Suckling
Restrained and floral, with dried rose and orange zest aromas. Medium- to full-bodied with firm, velvety tannins, a slightly dusty texture, crisp acidity and a umami finish. Drink or hold.
