Poplar Grove 'Library Collection' Cabernet Franc is an extraordinarily deep, perfectly aged, and masterfully structured Canadian icon red wine that showcases the impressive longevity of the Naramata Bench terroir. Released exclusively from the estate's private cellars after years of meticulous bottle maturation, it unfurls with an exquisite, tertiary-rich bouquet of dried black cherries, pomegranate, and stewed plums, layered with complex nuances of sweet mountain sage, eucalyptus, cigar box, and wet black tea leaf. On the palate, it delivers a medium- to full-bodied framework where a remarkably plush, velvety core of dark forest fruits is framed by a vibrant vein of natural acidity and beautifully integrated, fully softened tannins. Refined over 21 months in French oak barriques before extended bottle cellaring, it reaches a graceful culmination with an incredibly long, savory finish accented by notes of dark chocolate, espresso bean, and a lingering, stony Okanagan mineral edge.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with rosemary-crusted grilled lamb chops, charcoal-grilled dry-aged ribeye steak, roasted venison loin with a juniper reduction, or slow-cooked savory beef brisket barbecue.
