Every once in a while a cigar comes around that seems to transcend the boundaries of taste, body and value, becoming an instant go-to smoke for aficionados ranging from one end of the spectrum to the other. The Oliva Saison Toro is just that sort of cigar, having carved out a legendary reputation as a smoke for one and all to enjoy.
The wondrous 6” x 50 Saison Toro carries the usual Oliva hallmarks of quality including the precision-crafted draw that flows through the stellar single-harvest 2009 Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. A thick Nicaraguan binder leaf and an oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf completes the luscious stick which evolves into an enticing hour or so smoke.
As the Oliva Saison Toro falls into flame, a plush creaminess emerges with hints of coffee, leather and spice. The medium-to-full bodied smoke grows more complex with the additions of wood and earth notes that are tinged with subtle splashes of pepper. Balanced from start to finish, the Saison Toro cruises to a voluminously gratifying finale.
The Oliva Saison Toro is a must for anyone in search of a smoke that demonstrates a perfect balance in body and taste. Whether it be a smoke for morning, noon or night, the Oliva Saison Toro is sure to become a one of your all-time favorites. One puff of these beauties will undoubtedly make you a believer!
