Monteleone Qubba Etna Rosso 2022 is a refined and structured red wine from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, showcasing the depth of Nerello Mascalese. Pale ruby in color, it opens with distinctive aromas of graphite, pomegranate, citrus peel, and subtle spice. The palate is full-bodied yet balanced, offering layers of red fruit, toasted nuances, and mineral complexity supported by well-integrated tannins and refreshing acidity. Elegant and expressive, it finishes long and juicy with lingering notes of blood orange, spice, and volcanic minerality.
Food Pairing: Grilled meats, roast lamb, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, or aged cheeses.
93 Points - James Suckling
Graphite dominates the aromatic profile with pomegranate and citrus fruits. The attack is soft and the tannins well-handled. Full-bodied, this has fairly sweet, toasted flavors, refreshing acidity and a juicy finish focused on blood oranges. Drink or hold.
