Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Sloe Gin
Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Sloe Gin is produced by Black Forest Distillers in Germany’s Black Forest. This expression builds on the original Monkey 47 Dry Gin, using the same complex base of 47 botanicals. The distillery is known for its meticulous craftsmanship and commitment to regional ingredients.
Handpicked sloe berries are harvested after the first frost and macerated in Monkey 47 Dry Gin for several weeks. The process includes hydropress extraction and multiple filtrations to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The result is a handcrafted, unfiltered sloe gin that reflects the forested terroir and the distillery’s dedication to quality.
- Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Sloe Gin opens with tart red berries, juniper and a hint of pepper.
- The palate is rich and tangy with earthy juniper, sweet fruit and almond.
- Finishes with a nutty dryness and lingering berry spice.
Pairs beautifully with game, cheese and desserts.
