🏆 Critical Acclaim: 95 pts Vinous (Antonio Galloni)
CARO Malbec-Cabernet | Mendoza, Argentina | 750ml | 14% ABV
CARO is a remarkable collaboration between two of the world's greatest wine dynasties: the Catena family of Argentina and the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). The result is a wine that marries Argentine generosity with Bordelais finesse.
Predominantly Malbec with Cabernet Sauvignon, this blend delivers aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, violet, and a hint of sweet spice from oak ageing. The palate is full and velvety, with concentrated dark fruit, tobacco, and chocolate, supported by firm but polished tannins and a long, elegant finish.
When two legendary families come together, the result speaks for itself. This is Argentine Malbec elevated to the highest level.
Pair with: Argentine-style grilled steak, empanadas, or slow-braised beef cheeks.
