Inside this 14.1 oz jar are whole candied cherries steeped in Luxardo's own marasca cherry syrup, with the fill running roughly half fruit and half syrup. The cherries hold their shape and stay firm rather than turning soft or sugary-flat, and the flavor carries the depth of the marasca variety.
They work as a cocktail garnish where the fruit is meant to be part of the drink, not just decoration. Bartenders and people mixing at home reach for them when a standard bright-red cherry won't do, since both the look and the taste sit at a different level.
