The Luigi Bosca León Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold, expressive, and fruit-forward New World red wine that perfectly captures the pioneering legacy and historic high-altitude winemaking traditions of Mendoza. Named as an elegant tribute to the winery's founder, Leoncio Arizu, it pours a beautiful deep, dark red colour with vibrant purple reflections in the glass, lifting with an immediate, refreshing bouquet of intense black fruits like blackberries, cassis, and blueberries, seamlessly layered with complex undertones of rosemary, black pepper, and subtle mineral accents. On the palate, this medium-to-full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon blend is remarkably smooth, juicy, and round, coating the mouth with pure, velvety intensities of dark stone fruits, structured concentration, and a finely balanced freshness. Co-fermented with small portions of Petit Verdot and Malbec and matured for 12 months in 100% French oak barrels to maximize its structural depth and aging potential, it is driven by a food-friendly acidity and silky, polished tannins that carry into a long, graceful, and persistent finish accented by a lingering touch of cedar and spice.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with casual or premium red meat fare, including prime cuts of grilled beef ribeye or striploin steak, wood-fired mushroom pizzas, gourmet beef burgers, slow-roasted lamb shanks, traditional Argentine empanadas, and hard or aged artisanal cheeses.
