The PRO X Series leverages exclusive-to-IKAWA humidity data to unlock powerful precision and time-saving features including automatic first crack detection, target development mode, and moisture release graph—alongside the addition of a full-spectrum LED roast chamber light, improved doser, and USB-C power out connection.

Enabling collaboration and learning, the IKAWA Pro App unlocks your roasting expertise with a simple interface, roast profile library/sharing, and precision graph editing so you can focus on exploring each coffee's unique flavour, cupping and evaluation for purchasing, and profiling your coffee for production roasting.

Built for business, IKAWA's durable construction and low-maintenance design is made to withstand 60 roasts per day, with an accompanying Peli carrying case for safe transport to remote farms.

Available in PRO50x (50g capacity) or PRO100x (100g capacity) models.
FEATURES

World's first digital sample roaster; capacity of 3-5 cups per roast.

Automatic first crack detection using humidity data that streamlines workflows, eliminates subjectivity, and achieves unmatched consistency and precision.

Target development mode automatically adjusts roasts to hit a set development time or percent based on the automatic first crack detection time.

Moisture release graph provides insight into how moisture escapes your coffee during roasting, helping you to understand how your beans are responding and to better prepare for production while reducing test batches and waste.

Plug 'n' Play capability with fully automated roasting; from case to great tasting roasted samples in less than 10 minutes.

App based control with preset profiles, graph editing and profile sharing; no prior roasting experience necessary, with expanded capabilities to match your skill level and follow your business needs.

Fluid bed roasting with high precision sensors and digital PID controller adjusting the fan speed and heating element to match the temperature on the selected roast profile.

Hot air is blown through louver vents in the roast chamber which agitates the beans for more even roasting.

Industry leading +/-3 colour score calibration, with preheating functionality for enhanced batch-to-batch consistency.

Filterless cyclone system continually removes chaff throughout the roasting process.

Sealed body ensures predictable airflow and results.

Full spectrum LED roast chamber light provides accurate colours in-roast.

Improved doser makes back-to-back roasting even easier.

USB-C power out connection allows you to charge your device during longer sessions.

Travel ready: compact with custom crush- and water-proof Peli Case.

Durable, all-metal construction with industrial-grade materials and low-maintenance design featuring only one moving part (fan); combined with rigorous in-house testing and 45 point factory inspection for utmost dependability.

ABOUT IKAWA

IKAWA means coffee in Kirundi—the national language of Burundi, where founder, Andrew Stordy, spent much of his childhood and where the IKAWA concept was born. As an engineer and industrial designer, Andrew wanted to help bridge the gap between coffee farmers and buyers by creating a roaster that could produce consistent and repeatable results to make excellent sample roasting simple and accessible.

From the idea phase in 2010, the original IKAWA Pro Sample Roaster debuted at the SCA World of Coffee in 2012, with continual improvement of the product and accompanying app ever since. Now in service in over 100 countries around the world, IKAWA roasters have become an essential tool for coffee businesses of all types—empowering collaboration and information sharing throughout the coffee supply chain.

Put simply, IKAWA is committed to developing solutions that drive change and improve coffee—from farm to cup.
