THE DESIGN
White ebony is one of the rarer members of the ebony family. Where most ebony is prized for being nearly black, this variety is known for the opposite: a pale, cream-white body threaded with dark, contrasting streaks. It is normally worked into small objects — knife scales, inlay, instrument parts — because clean material in large, consistent panels is hard to find, so a humidor faced in it with the streaking running coherently across the front is a sourcing achievement before it is a woodworking one. In a pale interior it settles into the furniture; in a dark one it becomes the object everyone asks about. This Large Diamond puts that material to work at full display scale.
THE CRAFT
Boveda packs supply the moisture, working in both directions — releasing it when the interior dries and reabsorbing it when the level climbs — and a dynamic dual-fan ventilation system circulates that humidity through the cabinet, so over 70 cm and more than a hundred cigars the far end holds the same level as the packs themselves. There is no distilled water and no sponge: the packs are replaced when they begin to stiffen, typically every two to four months. Internal LED lighting turns the interior into a display the moment the drawer opens. The humidor opens on a solid oak drawer with a Blumotion soft-close mechanism rather than a lid, so opening it does not release the conditioned air in a single movement, and solid timber rather than veneer keeps the front flat over years of humid air on one face and dry room air on the other. Interior lined in Okoumé.

WHO THIS IS FOR
• A lounge, study or cigar room where the humidor is meant to be seen • A collection of several boxes kept ageing alongside what is being smoked • The collector who wants stone or rare wood rather than another cedar box • A milestone gift
CARE
Keep the humidor below roughly 21 °C and out of direct sun — above about 24 °C tobacco beetle eggs can hatch inside a cigar. A soft, dry cloth is all the wood needs, with no polish and no solvents. Handmade from natural materials: expect gentle variation in grain and tone from the photograph.
AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED
Litolite — handcrafted in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Imported directly from the atelier by El Laguito Cigars.
