The Henschke family, sixth-generation winemakers, have been crafting exceptional wines since 1868 in the Eden Valley region of South Australia. Known for their unwavering dedication to sustainability and site expression, Henschke produces wines that capture the essence of their vineyards, with 'Tappa Pass' being a homage to the rich viticultural heritage of both the Eden and Barossa Valleys.
This 2021 Shiraz presents a deep crimson core with vibrant garnet edges. The nose is intensely aromatic, opening with ripe blackberry, dark plum, and mulberry, intertwined with hints of sage, anise, black pepper, and clove. On the palate, it is plush and powerful, yet balanced with fresh acidity and supple tannins. Layers of dark berries and black cherry are supported by notes of mocha, cedar, and earthy spice, leading to a long, savoury finish. Composed entirely of Shiraz, this wine shows structure and finesse, with the potential to age gracefully over the next 15 to 20 years.
