GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 is a rich, full-flavored single malt Scotch whisky crafted by Master Distiller Billy Walker at the GlenAllachie Distillery in Speyside. Bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill filtered, and with no added color, this expression delivers a robust, multi-layered profile resulting from a complex maturation process in Spanish Sherry oak, Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, Virgin Oak, and Rioja casks.
Food Pairing: Rich dark chocolate desserts, sticky toffee pudding, venison stew, blue cheese or sharp aged gouda, and roasted chestnuts.
Tasting Notes : Deep mahogany in appearance with a heavy, coating, and full-bodied mouthfeel that brings intense, warming complexity.
Nose : Waves of heather honey, dark chocolate, dried fruit, mocha, cinnamon spice, orange zest, and soft espresso.
Palate : Rich cocoa, treacle, raisins, gingerbread, dark cherries, butterscotch, and sweet oak spices balanced by warm barley malt.
Finish : Long and lingering with notes of dark chocolate, spiced orchard fruit, citrus peel, and seasoned oak tannins.
Serve : Serve neat or with a few drops of pure spring water in a Glencairn glass.
