The emblematic wine of Castello Nipozzano, the historic Frescobaldi estate located a few miles northeast of Florence, Nipozzano Riserva is symbolic of the Tuscan wine making tradition and the continuing link with the terroir.
Deep red with garnet colour. Floral aromas of red plum and berries, blood orange fruit with cedar notes. Extra dry, medium to full-bodied, with balanced fruit flavours, red fruit and citrus with a touch of spice and leather. Balanced with a long finish.
When you think of pairing Chianti with food, most people think of pasta with a red sauce but there is so much more that you can pair with Chianti. It’s a great compliment to strong tasting poultry dishes, spiced lamb, or even beef, as long as it's not overly fatty. If you are looking for a wine with pizza, Chianti is your choice.
