Wrapper: Mexican San Andres Claro
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Profile: Medium+
The Foundation Olmec Claro is a tribute to one of the oldest civilizations in the Americas and a bold expression of rich, nuanced Nicaraguan flavor. Expertly crafted by Nicholas Melillo of Foundation Cigars, this line pays homage to the Olmec culture, the original inhabitants of the fertile San Andrés Valley, home to some of the world’s most prized tobacco.
Wrapped in a silky, golden-brown Mexican San Andrés Claro wrapper, the Olmec Claro combines elegance and strength. Beneath the surface lies a hearty blend of aged Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from Estelí and Jalapa, offering a medium to full-bodied experience that’s both refined and complex.
Expect a flavorful profile of cedar, white pepper, toasted nuts, and citrus, balanced with a creamy texture and a clean finish. The result is a cigar that’s earthy, aromatic, and richly satisfying, with impeccable construction and a slow, even burn.
