Produced in the United States, this Pinot Gris is sourced from a collection of prime vineyard sites across Oregon, primarily within the Willamette and Umpqua valleys. Founded by Dick Erath in 1968, the winery is a pioneer of the region, having cultivated the land for over 50 years with a deep commitment to expressing the unique terroir of the Dundee Hills. Erath’s winemaking philosophy focuses on a disciplined yet progressive approach, aiming to reveal the best expression of classic Oregon fruit through intentional, handcrafted processes.
Wine Description
This sumptuous Pinot Gris presents a delicate sensory profile, opening with aromas of Nashi pear, green melon, and subtle hints of white stone. On the palate, it offers a bright and pleasingly plush mouthful of jasmine flower, Meyer lemon, and shortbread, leading to a finish that is both up-tempo and thirst-quenching. The wine is crafted in an unadulterated style with no wood or malolactic fermentation, preserving a light-to-medium body characterized by its freshness, vibrant acidity, and balanced complexity.
