The Deadwood Leather Rose is part of Drew Estate's Deadwood Tobacco line — four cigars blended in Estelí, Nicaragua, using aromatic tobaccos wrapped in dark, oily Maduro leaf. The line occupies the space between traditional premium and fully infused: real tobacco complexity with a natural sweetness that doesn't cross into flavored-cigar territory. Leather Rose is the boldest of the four. The Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan fillers opens with leather and dark earth, moves into espresso and dark chocolate through the middle, and finishes with nutmeg and a dry, peppery bite. It burns consistently and produces thick smoke typical of Drew Estate's Nicaraguan construction. More complexity than Sweet Jane. More bite than Fat Bottom Betty. Available in two vitolas — the original 5x54 Torpedo and the newer Petite Corona 4x43 — so you can try it as a shorter smoke before committing to a box.
Vitola: Torpedo 5x54 / Petite Corona 4x43
Wrapper: Maduro
Filler: Nicaraguan
Strength: Medium-Full
Tasting Notes: Leather, dark chocolate, espresso, nutmeg, black pepper
Smoke Time: 40–80 minutes
Pairs Well With: Black coffee, bourbon, or a smoky mezcal
Good fit for Liga Privada smokers who want more sweetness, or Deadwood fans who want more complexity than Sweet Jane delivers. Want something even bolder? Fat Bottom Betty goes fuller. Crazy Alice takes it in a different direction entirely.
