Privada Storytelling: The Rarest Shade, at the Grandest Scale
The Colorado Claro Double R is the crown jewel of a line that was never meant to be ordinary. The reddish-hued wrapper—grown in Ecuador, sun-kissed and expertly fermented—sets the tone. Only a select number of these wrappers meet the criteria to earn the Colorado Claro name, and even fewer are chosen for a cigar this large.
At 7½ inches, the Double R is more than a cigar—it’s a commitment to slow time down. And what it delivers is extraordinary: a long, elegant burn that moves from creamy cedar and spice into deep, refined layers of earth, roasted nuts, and delicate sweetness.
It’s not just a special cigar. It’s a special occasion, even if you're the only one who knows it.
Flavor Journey:
-
First Third: Cedar, white pepper, and toasted almond with a clean, elegant start
-
Second Third: Cinnamon, soft cocoa, and a gentle transition into richer leather and dry fruit
-
Final Third: Earth, black pepper, and warm honey finish the experience with richness and grace
Even at this size, burn is consistent, draw is effortless, and the transitions are seamless—built by the hands of Davidoff’s most senior rollers.
Why It’s Privada-Worthy
At Privada, we revere the rare, the aged, the near-impossible—and this cigar checks every box. It’s a limited-run wrapper, matched with aged Dominican core tobaccos, in one of the most challenging formats to roll properly. This is a cigar that rewards patience with purity.
For the collector who wants Davidoff’s richest wrapper, longest vitola, and deepest complexity—this is it.
