Cosa Salvaje Añejo is a 100% agave tequila from Mexico, made by Cosa Salvaje, the brand that counts country music star Tanya Tucker as a partner. This añejo rests in American oak for 21 to 23 months before bottling, and it is bottled at 40% ABV, or 80 proof.
The nose shows oak and cooked agave, with a note of buttered toast. On the palate it turns rich, with citrus and grape-like fruit. The finish is smooth, long and dry, with a gentle fruity edge.
Sip it neat or over a single large cube, and pair it with grilled meats or dark chocolate. It is a strong choice for añejo tequila drinkers who enjoy an oak-aged sipper, and a fun gift for country music fans.
