Copper Fox Distillery in Sperryville, Virginia is one of the most distinctive craft distilleries in America — founded by Rick Wasmund, who apprenticed at Bowmore Distillery in Scotland before bringing Old World techniques to Virginia. Copper Fox is famous for its use of apple and cherry wood smoke to dry the malted barley, imparting a subtle, fruit-forward smokiness that sets their whisky apart from anything else on the market.
The Copper Fox Rye Whisky applies this same philosophy to rye grain — a Virginia straight rye with a unique character born from hand-crafted malting, fruit wood smoking, and patient aging. This is American craft whisky with a genuinely singular identity.
