Made in Santa Barbara, California, Chareau is crafted in small batches using real, farm-fresh ingredients. The foundational spirit is an unaged grape eau-de-vie infused with cucumber, muskmelon, lemon peel and spearmint. The key differentiator: fresh aloe vera juice is added as the final step, bringing distinctive vegetal clarity and a smooth texture. Bottled at 25% ABV (50 proof), it delivers an easy-going but thoughtfully designed spirit rooted in California agriculture and mixology creativity.
Tasting Profile
Nose: Bright and inviting—fresh cucumber ribbons, cool aloe leaf, a light spray of spearmint and a touch of lemon peel freshness. Beneath that lies subtle sweet melon and a soft herbal green note that keeps it refined.
Palate: Light-to-medium body. The aloe leaf and cucumber meld with melon sweetness, supported by citrus brightness and herb-leaf depth. The eau-de-vie base gives a clean, crisp texture rather than heavy liqueur sweetness.
Finish: Clean and gently dry. The vegetal green character lingers—a hint of aloe-leaf bitterness, minty herb freshness, and subtle melon sweetness fade into a crisp, refreshing aftertaste.
