The Campillo Reserva Colección Rioja DOC 2019 is an elegant, powerfully structured red wine from Spain that embodies the highest quality of wine from the Rioja Alavesa region. It is produced by the renowned Bodegas Campillo, a winery known for its combination of traditional Rioja craftsmanship and modern vinification. The Tempranillo grape variety forms the backbone of this exceptional wine, which comes from carefully selected grapes from high-altitude vineyards. The cool climate and chalky clay soils of the Alavesa region give it finesse, structure and depth.
In the glass, the Campillo Reserva Colección Rioja 2019 is an intense ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose reveals a complex interplay of aromas of ripe cherries, plums and cassis, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla, cedar, cloves and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied, balanced and elegant, with velvety tannins and a dense, harmonious structure. The oak barrel maturation gives it fine roasted aromas, while the fruit always remains present. The finish is long-lasting, complex and accompanied by a pleasant spiciness.
