Calirosa Reposado strikes a polished balance between fresh high-altitude agave clarity and gentle wood-influence, delivering a smooth, fruit-lifted sipper with subtle oak signature. With its light floral-berry tone and soft finish, it’s both accessible for newer fans and enticing enough for seasoned agave lovers seeking something refined yet relaxed.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced in Jalisco, Mexico by the Real family in collaboration with Calirosa, this tequila uses 100 % Blue Weber agave. After traditional roasting, fermentation and double-distillation, the spirit is rested (as a reposado) in oak for a defined period, then finished in Californian red-wine barrels. This wine-barrel finish imparts a faint blush hue, as well as subtle red-fruit and oak nuance. The brand emphasizes small-batch production and a modern premium aesthetic.
Tasting Profile
-
Nose: The aroma opens with warm cooked agave sweetness and light citrus zest (think orange peel), joined by red-berry hints and just a whisper of vanilla.
-
Palate: Smooth and medium bodied, the tequila flows with roasted agave sugar, fresh orchard fruit (ripe pear, maybe cherry), subtle oak spice (cinnamon or nutmeg) and a gentle swirl of red-wine-barrel derived berry tones.
-
Finish: Clean and pleasantly soft—oak drift lingers alongside mild dried berries, a trace of almond or toasted grain, and a final wave of agave clarity that leaves you ready for the next sip.
