95 Points "A superb Reposado worthy of your efforts to secure a bottle — a Best Buy.
Bright, clear golden color. The aromatics are very intense, presenting scents of cooked agave, charred oak, and crème brulee with supporting notes of apricot, tropical fruits, and baking spices. The palate is in substantial agreement with the nose delivering an agave-driven core with flavors of cooked agave, baking spices, and citrus. The finish is medium-long. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a chewy texture."
"Aroma is herbal, with a trace of honey, then blossoms into a bouquet that's peppery, herbal, waxy, floral. Palate is medium-bodied, oily, resiny, herbal and semisweet, with balanced flavors of green pepper, red pepper, toffee and honey. Finishes gracefully." Wine Enthusiast 96-100 Points
NOTE, THE BLACKWELL 321 RULE: They call is the "classic 3-2-1 ratio" for making a margarita is 3 parts tequila, 2 parts a quality orange liqueur of some description (Ferrand, Rhum JM), and 1 part FRESH SQUEEZED lime juice. This is your starting point—adjust for taste. Adding more tequila almost never hurts.
