Bogle Petite Sirah 2022 pours a deep, glass-staining inky dark purple color. The bouquet is highly expressive and fruit-forward, opening with intense aromas of ripe boysenberry, wild blackberry, and fresh blueberries, beautifully layered with secondary notes of dried sage, espresso bean, fresh violets, and a warm backdrop of toasty American oak and maple. On the palate, this full-bodied red wine delivers a rich and concentrated entry. Lush flavors of blackberry pie and juicy plum give way to mid-palate complexities of black cherry, clove spice, and graham cracker. Firm, mouth-coating tannins provide excellent structural depth, carrying the dark fruit flavors into a long, persistent, and drying finish marked by white pepper and savory earthiness.
Food Pairing: Pairs perfectly with slow-smoked barbecue beef brisket, grilled ribeye steak with black pepper rub, roasted lamb chops, or mature aged white cheddar cheese.
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This selection is supple with boysenberry, dried sage, espresso and notes of toasty oak, maple and fresh violets on the nose. It tumbles onto your palate with flavors of blackberry, blueberry pie and graham cracker with a white pepper finish. It is a classic grape expression, which is often misunderstood—a great alternative to Cabernet Sauvignon.
