Introduction:
Blanton’s Special Reserve is a refined single barrel bourbon known for its soft, approachable character and elegant balance. Crafted to be smooth and welcoming, it delivers layered flavours without overwhelming intensity, making it an excellent choice for both newcomers to bourbon and seasoned drinkers who appreciate a lighter, more nuanced style.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Gentle aromas of caramel, sweet corn, and soft wood smoke lead the way, complemented by hints of vanilla, dried herbs, cedar, and subtle raisin notes.
Palate: Light and airy on the palate with flavours of vanilla and toffee, joined by toasted peanut, dried orange peel, and delicate touches of dried fruit and white pepper.
Finish: Smooth and extended, finishing with lingering notes of soft spice and a refined hint of tobacco.
Pairings:
Enjoy it neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate its delicate complexity. It also works beautifully in premium bourbon cocktails where a smooth, balanced profile is desired. Pairs well with roasted nuts, grilled meats, or lightly spiced dishes, and complements relaxed evenings or social gatherings where an easy-drinking yet polished bourbon shines.
