What Makes It Special
Wheated bourbons are prized for their softer, more approachable character - think Pappy Van Winkle and Maker's Mark. Ben Holladay's use of soft red winter wheat creates a bourbon with gentle sweetness and a velvety texture that's perfect for those who find traditional rye-heavy bourbons too spicy or aggressive.
Aged for a minimum of six years in the original Holladay rickhouses, this wheated bourbon develops remarkable depth while maintaining its signature smoothness. The soft red wheat allows the bourbon's natural caramel and vanilla notes to shine, creating a refined sipper that's equally enjoyable neat, on the rocks, or in premium cocktails where its gentle character can complement rather than compete with other ingredients.
