Real Vanilla, Real Oak, Real New Orleans 🌿🥃
Barrel Aged Vanilla Bitters are a beautiful collaboration between three small but mighty businesses. We partnered with single origin spice importers Burlap & Barrel and New Orleans distillers Roulaison Rum to create something truly special. Made with the world’s only wild pollinated vanilla bean from Zanzibar and aged in fresh Roulaison rum barrels, these bitters offer deep vanilla, soft oak, and warm spice that elevate anything you mix.
How to Mix:
A natural companion to brown spirits, these bitters shine in Old Fashioneds, tiki inspired drinks, and any recipe that benefits from warmth and layered vanilla flavor. They enrich bourbon, rye, dark rum, and aged tequila with ease. We also love substituting them for vanilla extract in baking, coffee, and anything that deserves a fragrant finishing touch. Barrel Aged Vanilla Bitters bring a luxe aromatic lift to both spirited and spirit free drinks.
Why You Will Love It:
• Made with wild pollinated vanilla from Zanzibar
• Aged in fresh Roulaison rum barrels
• Rich vanilla and gentle oak notes
• Alcohol free and spirit optional
• Woman owned and made in New Orleans
• Supports three small businesses with every bottle

Can I use these instead of vanilla extract?
Absolutely. We substitute them for vanilla extract in baking, whipped cream, simple syrups, and desserts. A few drops add gorgeous vanilla flavor without the sweetness.
Why are these bitters aged in rum barrels?
Aging in fresh Roulaison rum barrels brings gentle oak, soft spice, and a round depth that complements the vanilla perfectly. The result is more complex and aromatic than a standard vanilla bitters.
What makes this vanilla special?
These bitters use the world’s only wild pollinated vanilla bean, sourced sustainably from Zanzibar through Burlap and Barrel. It is one of the most aromatic and flavorful vanillas in the world.
