Juicy and mouthwatering, our Alavez 2020 Garnacha showcases ripe, dark berry flavors with soft, well-incorporated spice. This wine is a delicious example of Garnacha thriving in its Spanish homeland, where a Mediterranean climate ensures even and ample ripening while slow-draining soils keep vines hydrated. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for two to three weeks, extracting and preserving every ounce of rich varietal flavor. Oak aging presents itself through a chocolate-like character that integrates seamlessly without overwhelming the wine’s fruit-forward palate. Since this bottle is such a delicious stylistic representation of Spanish Garnacha, we encourage you to try something fun and impress your friends at your next wine night. Taste this wine next to a French Grenache to sample two different expressions on the same varietal and further explore your personal preference.
