These convenient, individually wrapped sticks bring the warm, toasty character of roasted Japanese tea to your cup without any measuring or mess. Each box includes eight 12‑gram sticks (96 g / 3.39 oz total) formulated to blend smoothly into hot or cold milk and plant-based alternatives. The powder combines slow‑roasted green tea leaves with cane sugar to deliver a mellow, slightly nutty flavor that plays well in both coffeehouse-style drinks and blended recipes.
How do I make a creamy hojicha latte in under two minutes?
Preparing a latte with these sticks is designed to be fast and fuss-free: empty one packet into 6 ounces of hot or cold milk, whisk or shake until dissolved, and enjoy. The fine powder dissolves well in warm liquid and can be emulsified into cold milk with a handheld frother or blender for a silky finish.
- Use 1 stick per 6 oz milk (dairy or plant‑based) for a balanced sweetness.
- Whisk vigorously or use a milk frother for a smooth texture.
- For iced lattes, dissolve in a little warm milk first, then add ice.
- Adjust to taste: add more milk for a milder cup or less for a bolder roast.
Can these sticks be used in smoothies and other recipes?
Yes — the roasted matcha powder blends easily into cold beverages and recipes, adding a toasted tea note and gentle sweetness. Toss a stick into your blender with milk, banana, and ice for a quick smoothie, or stir into yogurt, overnight oats, and baked goods for an inventive flavor lift.
- Smoothie idea: 1 stick, 1 banana, 8 oz milk, handful of ice.
- Blending tip: pre-dissolve in a splash of warm liquid for even distribution.
- Baking use: fold into muffin or pancake batter for a subtle roasted tea flavor.
- Cold mixes: shake with cold brew or iced tea for a unique twist.
What flavor profile should I expect from AIYA’s roasted matcha?
Unlike bright, grassy green matcha, this roasted variety offers mellow, toasty notes with hints of nuttiness and cacao-like depth. The added cane sugar rounds the edges so the cup tastes smooth and approachable without needing extra sweetener.
- Primary notes: warm roast, mild nuttiness, subtle cocoa undertones.
- Sweetness: lightly sweetened with cane sugar for immediate drinkability.
- Mouthfeel: smooth powder that creates a velvety beverage when mixed.
- Aroma: fragrant roasted tea scent rather than sharp vegetal tones.
How portable and shelf‑stable are these single‑serve sticks?
Each stick is individually sealed to lock in flavor and make transport simple — toss one in a bag, purse, or desk drawer for an instant pick-me-up. Stored in a cool, dry place away from strong odors, the sealed packets maintain their quality for convenient, on-the-go use.
- Individually wrapped packets for clean, mess-free use.
- Perfect for travel, office, or gym bags.
- Long shelf life when kept dry and away from sunlight.
- Single servings reduce waste and simplify portioning.
