Agustí Torelló Roca's Reserva Classic Penedès is a sparkling wine crafted from 55% Macabeu and 45% Xarel·lo grapes, sourced from vineyards in the Costers d'Ordal region of Penedès, Spain. These vineyards, situated at altitudes between 220 and 340 meters, thrive on calcareous and gravelly soils, contributing to the wine's distinctive minerality. The grapes are cultivated using organic and regenerative viticulture practices, adhering to traditional Mediterranean dry farming methods. Harvested by hand, the grapes undergo the conventional method of sparkling wine production, with the second fermentation occurring in the bottle. The wine is aged on its lees for at least 24 months, enhancing its complexity and depth. Bottling is done without dosage, resulting in a Brut Nature style authentically reflecting the terroir.
