1800 Añejo is made from 100% Blue Weber agave, picked at its peak in Jalisco, Mexico. The spirit is double-distilled in copper stills. Then it ages for more than a year in new American and French oak barrels. That time in wood gives it a deep amber color.
Bring the glass close and you will catch oaky vanilla first. The sip is nutty, with smooth toffee sweetness. A peppery spice arrives on the finish and keeps it lively.
It has a strong record with judges. It was named World’s Best Tequila at the 2015 World Tequila Awards. That same year it won Gold as a premium añejo at the Tequila & Mezcal Masters.
This is a refined tequila made for slow sipping, neat or over one large cube. The brand also mixes it into drinks like the 1800 New Fashioned. Try it with grilled meats, mole or a square of dark chocolate.
A bottle of 1800 Añejo makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves high-quality spirits.
